2Good concept, execution could be a LOT better  May 24, 2010
Like others have stated, this is a great concept and it's the only visual timer available (other than a sandtimer, but that has a fixed time), but the quality leaves much to be desired. Construction is flimsy and the "alarm" is very quiet ans short--it would be better for the alarm to sound continuously until you turn it off (in my opinion), because it's very easy to miss. My biggest complaint is that I would like the Time Timer company to make these timers in smaller time increments. For kids, it would be perfect for timing a 3-minute time out, "5 minutes until we go in the car!", 2 minutes to brush teeth, etc. But on all three versions the full circle is 1 hour, so times smaller than 10 minutes are a tiny slice at the top, which defeats the purpose of your child seeing the passage of time as the red gets smaller. We didn't get much use out of the Time Timer and I would not recommend it, unless they come out with a version that has a TOTAL of 10 or 15 minutes all the way around so it can be functional in minute-by-minute increments.

2Much the same as what others have said-but no alternative product  Dec 04, 2009
I read the reviews on this product before purchasing and was hesitant from the get go, but like others have mentioned there really are not any alternative visual timers. The product weighs almost nothing and feels/appears to be very cheaply made. I am afraid to move it around much as I think it will fall (and certainly break if it hits the tile floor). Also in agreement with others, you can not hear the buzzer sound unless you are standing right next to it - if you have a child who needs to visually see the time diminishing and then needs the timer to sound to alert him all time has been used, this product is very disappointing. Someone please come up with something better!

1The sound didn't work.  Nov 09, 2009
I thought the reviews claiming this was a piece of junk were over sensitive, but I was wrong! My clock arrived in a "timely" fashion, but despite having ordered a clock with sound, I found that the clock wouldn't beep when the timer was finished. We could turn the dial to zero and press in on it manually to get a small beep, so we knew the clock's volume was working, but we couldn't manipulate the dial to produce a sound without someone squeezing it.

JUNK JUNK JUNK.

3Product could use a price adjustment and an upgrade  Jun 26, 2009
The timer works great most of the time, but like other reviewers stated, the battery does slip out sometimes. It is also very expensive for what it is, but it does serve its purpose.
