Good book as any other one is never bad to read and it just helps you to understand many useful things
Fun activities Apr 19, 2010
I have bought this book for a couple of friends and now I have my own baby and couldn't wait to buy it. The activities are fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate. I love how the book divides the activities up by age range. It's also nice because it isn't like a textbook with a lot of reading. It explains how to do the activity and lets you know how it is helping with development. I think it's a great gift for a first time parent and helps encourage bonding with the child.

Good creative ideas on how to play with infants Mar 22, 2010
As a new Mom, I was a bit at a loss on how to "play" with my newborn. I knew it was important to stimulate his different senses and engage him in play- but it's hard to think of creative things to do with an infant who can't do much on his own yet. This book was helpful in those first few months to help me think of different fun activities to engage in with my baby. Even though many of the ideas are obvious (like peek-a-boo)- it's still helpful to be reminded which games are good to play at certain ages. My baby is 9 months old now- and I haven't looked the book for several months- but it was great in those beginning months. I also asked my nanny to read it and to try out he activities with my baby. The big colorful pictures were nice too. I bought the book used for a few dollars, so it was definitely worth the $.

there are a lot of games in this book that are divided up by age. These games are easy to do and the baby loves them. i keep it handy next to my babys play gym

I bought this book as I am a new mother and I wanted to make sure I was doing everything can to entertain my baby and help her grow into an intelligent child. Once I received this book, I went through it and I already do these things with my baby. So for me, this was a waste of money. I am an involved parent. Everyday I talk to my baby, play with her, tell her what I am doing, ask her what she is trying to say to me and other things mentioned in this book. The key is to communicate with your baby, read books to your baby and give your baby lots of faces and pictures to look at. In my opinion this book is for parents who know nothing about babies.
