Children understand the value of Wh questions when events are broken down into structured questions. These question sequences helps the child to answer questions in context. Each question sequence contains a "Where, Why, What, Who and When" question. "What do you carry your books in? A book bag is just a piece of arbitrary information. Putting questions into sequence gives meaning to the questions and helps the child understand an event. You go to school to learn and play, the teacher gives the class, you carry your books in a book bag, you wash hands before you eat snack and it's fun to climb on the playground.
