Teachers begin by establishing an objective, then organize content through task analyses. Then teachers what they do best - teach. The effectiveness of instruction is evaluated and either the objective is attained or you teach again. The book takes a discerning look at the impact of IDEA and NCLB in everyday teaching. | | | |

Create and maintain a positive learning environment May 19, 2004
By Midwest Book Review Expertly written by Barbara D. Bateman (a nationally known expert in special education and special education law), Elements Of Successful Teaching: General & Special Education Students was first published in 1972, but has been recently revised to incorporate and reflect The Individuals with Disabilities Act and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Focusing on how teachers can create and maintain a positive learning environment, keep their own knowledge and their level of instruction accurate and current, master specific skills related to teaching, keep up high professional standards, and more, Elements Of Successful Teaching is a superb all-around supplementary guidebook for teachers of all backgrounds and instructional assignments, including public and private school educators as well as home schooling instructors. Elements Of Successful Teaching is solidly presented and highly recommended as a practical evaluation and instructional of the environment and abilities needed to promote lifelong learning.
Elements of Successful Teaching Mar 10, 2004
By Luther P Christman Ph.D.,R.N. This text clearly portrays that the educational process is becoming much more sophisticated as well as increasingly personalized in order for each individual student to learn in a manner that stimulates continuous growth. In a world of never ending growth of knowledge of all kinds each child must be assisted in perceiving the rapid expansion of knowledge and the keys to constant learning. Of greater importance than the classroom task is that of embedding a learning lifestyle as the major outcome of the elementary specific goals. The large cultural variety present in many classrooms must be understood to plan and enact successful teaching. The steady growth of the movement toward collegiate education makes it imperative that learning skills be mastered early or the failure rate at this level will be large and devastating. The text indirectly implies that a steady and regular growth in teacher preparation will occure in the same manner as is happening in all professions. Teaching will have to be a very sophisticated applied science to keep up with world wide knowledge developments. The international emphasis on education is growing steadily so teachers in this country cannot lag behind their international compatriots.submission typist: Terri R Corder Lukonen
