5ADORABLE and loved by the kids!  Aug 11, 2010 By Sun Waker
Cloud is a-freaking-dorable! I am a therapist and he has helped my little clients talk about their feelings. He is well loved by boys as well as girls. I imagine Cloud would be equally at home with play therapy or CBT, as well as other modalities, as he can be very useful in facilitating psychoed about feelings, feeling identification, labeling, communication, etc. Kids immediately gravitate towards him with his unusual but cute and cuddly looks, and start putting feelings in his pouch. I have Bug too, which, with his folding wings, is great to talk about anxiety and bravery, but kids tend to gravitate towards Cloud more, with his neutral looks, his rotating head, and happy/sad faces. If you work with kids and are trying to pick a Kimochi to try first, I would start with Cloud.

In terms of his "personality", his rotating head and story make him the more "moody one", whose mood can change in a heartbeat, but you can really customize that to the situation at hand. A well loved buddy, both by the young ones and myself. I can't wait to get all the other Kimochis and feeling sets! The only catch is one of my clients did write on a custom feeling, but I haven't tried washing it off yet so I don't know how reusable those are. However, the pen did make a mess when it was used.

4sharing feelings  May 23, 2009 By Book Scout
I bought one of each of these dolls for my girls, cousins and all. Everyone got their own that matches their personality. It worked out well, even the oldest sleeps with hers at night. They all love them are are starting to work into how they are feeling about things. Anger, frustration and sadness are the ones that they had the hardest time expressing, and I think we are working out some kinks :) *I gave this 4 stars because it only came with 3 emotions. -

5Adorable and quite the crowd pleaser!  Dec 16, 2010 By Allison M. Paul "ummm..."
I got this for my 3 year old niece who is all about expressing herself. I also got the addition "feelings" bags for her and she absolutely loves to carry those around as well. The softness of the toy itself allows her to sleep w/ it and she really enjoys putting the proper mood w/ him when she goes to bed.
All in all, this toy is an excellent way to help children ease into understanding emotions and expressing themselves. One of my favorite purchases.
:)

5Fantastic toy that encourages interaction  Jan 19, 2012 By Stephany Cavatoni
I bought this for my son at Christmas - was not on his list but saw it in a store and thought it would be great for him. He has some speech / language challenges so I am always on the look out for things that allow for more engagement. Well, this was the only toy that he plays with now. We even bought the companion book "Cloud's Best Worst Day". He loves the feelings (he calls them people, like, Happy is here) and is great at expressing his emotions and asking about others. My daughter, who is 8, became so intrigued that she got Cat. We've also gotten Hugtopus and Lovey Dovey. Wonderful, sweet toys!!

5So cute and educational, too!  Nov 17, 2011 By CuteEverythingcom
I think that your emotions can teach you a lot about yourself, so I was really excited to see Kimochis, which are adorable in and of themselves, plus, they also teach children to express themselves in positive ways. I got the Cloud stuffed toy, which is made of soft and cuddly material. He can be a bit moody though, which is easily shown by turning his head from his bright and happy face to his gloomy face. Cloud has a pouch on his tummy where his emotions (Kimochi in Japanese) live, and they are so cute with their little hands and feet and their name on their back (Happy, Mad, Sad). In addition to helping my children express their emotions (sometimes I just ask them to point to which one they feel like, if they are upset), my kids love to make up stories with them, too.

Cloud also comes with a "Kimochi Feel Guide", which is a small, soft cover book filled with darling illustrations and constructive play ideas using the toys. The book tells us, "When kids are comfortable talking about their feelings, they build self-esteem, character and confidence!" I really appreciated this concept, since it will help children throughout their lives in their social dealings, as well as handling their own personal issues. Cloud offers such a fun way to learn to work things out when an issue arises, rather than choosing to be overwhelmed by emotion (a much less beneficial coping technique.)
