I have to say I am overall pleased with this book. I purchased this item in preparation for my PPST Praxis I Test. I began preparing about two weeks prior to taking the text. The book provided great pointers on taking the praxis test. What I valued most was the diagnostic test which was given for reading, writing and math. I felt that I had done pretty badly on two of the three. However the diagnostic tests were actually a life saver because they helped me to focus in on the areas in which I needed the most help. I passed all three parts of this test and this was the only tool I used. This book was definitely worth the purchase.

Why anyone would give a test prep book high reviews that is titled Praxis I and II when it devotes only 40 pages of its 420 pages to Praxis II is beyond me. This title will mislead anyone who wants to prepare for the Praxis II tests. It provides a simple description of the various Praxis content tests and offers no suggestions on how to prepare for any particular one. If your goal is to prepare for the Praxis I or PPST test, this book is fine, but someone at McGraw-Hill is more interested in marketing this book than helping its purchasers.

I got this book because of the reviews it already had. I was looking for a book I could use to help me prepair for the praxis I and II exams. This book is a great tool to have, it gives great examples of text questions and I feel very prepaired to take the exam after using this book as a study guide. There are also great test taking tips. Overall a great buy!

I found this book to be very useful. It broke down the Praxis on many levels. The practice tests was in total agreement with the test.

This book is good as far as practice tests, but it needs more examples of the actual problems in the math section. I would recommend this book if used with a more traditional math book.
