2Too little for your buck!  May 16, 2009 By Lusiana "Babytech"
The product description mentions a great deal of pictures, but not all of them are useful. For example, the hygiene library contains cotton balls, but no toileting pictures. Over all I'm only using about 30% of the pictures. Too little for the $$ spent.

5Pics for PECS 2009 CD  Nov 09, 2009 By Claire W
The Pics for PECS CD includes more than 2000 images for use in communication books, schedules, activity boards, visual reinforcement systems or wherever you use visual strategies. This edition includes 200 more pictures than last year's edition! PECS pictures are filed by category which makes it easy to find the picture I am looking for! The CD includes a picture dictionary of all 2000+ images as well.

This product offers various grid templates that can accommodate pictures that range in size from 1 ¾" to 3". On the CD, there is a file that offers detailed instructions on how to insert PECS pictures into the grid templates which is super helpful!!! You can also easily resize the pictures to any size needed. All images are in high resolution which means no distortion when you make large pictures!!!

1PICS for PECS  Aug 14, 2009 By Bulldyke "BD"
This was not was I was expecting. The PECS available are very limited and you cannot import images into the program.

3Not a game, not bad, not good, not worth the price  Mar 19, 2011 By Ernest F. Beckley "Quality will be remembered long after price is forgotten."
There are nearly 3000 images on this CD; however, they are not all unique. There are many duplicate images with only word changes. One example, there is an image called "Fridge" and one called "Refrigerator", but they use the same graphic of a refrigerator--only the word changes. Another example uses the same graphic for "squish ball", "squishy ball", and "stress ball". I would estimate this accounts for about 15-20% of the images on the disk. There also appears to be something of a UK/British influence in the words used to describe the graphics. Examples include "bap" instead of "bun" or "roll", "beef burger" instead of "hamburger". Usually, there is an American equivalent, but not always. Fortunately, you can use a graphics program to insert your own words where it makes sense. Then there are images which, to me, make little sense. For example, there is a graphic of three bears, and the words user are "bear country", or an image of a boy with a hammer and the words "Johnny Works". Huh? Sorry, I don't get it. Finally, most of the images are around 600x600 pixels, but some are inexplicably small (around 150x150 pixels). These smaller images do not scale up well, and become pixelated quickly. I'm guessing it's just a mistake made when the CD was compiled, but one I think should have been caught before going to press. There is a good selection of images for all ages, well into adulthood. I'm not sure this is worth the price, but trying to collect your own set of pictures to use can be arduous (I know, I tried), so there is at least some value in purchasing this disk.

5pics for pecs 2009  Feb 25, 2009 By Tracy Hall "major book worm"
I really recommand this product to anyone who has or works with special needs children. I first found out about this program from work and ordered it for myself. I am very satisfied with this product, I recived it in the mail in no time at all.
