"New Mom of 2"
My son has several of his primiive reflexes intact and has difficulty keeping his mouth off of things- like desks, countertops, display cases, etc. I bought this to help his teacher help him to stay focused during class and it has been great. She has seen a significant difference in him and I am about to buy a second one for home. It is great for what it is intended.

By sensory101 I was surprised at how large this was. I ordered it for my son to chew on as he was grabbing a similar looking toy of our dogs and chewing. The size prevents him from really getting it in his mouth. If it were just for tactile play I think it would be fine.
